November 28, 2008 – January 4, 2009 The trappings and the trimmings of a traditional Victorian holiday are re-created in the 1885 Ballantine House, a restored National Historic Landmark. The historically accurate installation, complete with period menus, annually offers visitors the opportunity to step back in time to learn about nineteenth-century life and traditions.
Insecta Fantasia: A Centennial Commission by Jennifer Angus

This exhibition explores the spiritual significance of art in Yoruba culture, presenting nearly 70 works of art in diverse media. For the Yoruba, one of Africa's oldest and most influential cultures, art and spirituality are often intertwined. Works of art give visual form to the divine and inspire religious devotion. In turn, they are empowered by spiritual forces.
The Beaded Prayers Project

Directed by artist Sonya Clark, this worldwide collaborative artwork celebrates both unity and diversity. A traveling component entitled "Beaded Blessings" includes more than 4,000 beaded prayers inspired by amulets made by people in Africa and throughout the world.
 Women's Tales: Four Leading Israeli Jewelers

This exhibition examines each artist's distinctive aesthetic.

Now is Then: Snapshots from the Maresca Collection
February 13, 2008 — May 11, 2008 View vintage images from America's golden age of snapshot photography. The exhibition of 150 snapshots explores why we make snapshots, what they look like, what happens to them, and just as importantly, what they reveal about American life in the first half of the 20th century.
