SATURN:
Exploring a Celestial Wonder

The Dreyfuss Planetarium's gallery is featuring a new exhibit about the planet Saturn. From an ancient "wandering star" to a modern day celestial laboratory, Saturn tantalizes the eye, spirit and mind.  This ringed wonder has been explored with telescopes, flyby probes and now the orbiting Cassini spacecraft.  Countless rings and dozens of moons harbor clues to the history of our Solar System and help us understand our place in the Universe.

Currently, the Cassini spacecraft is in orbit around Saturn and its mission will continue at least until 2008.  The exhibit will feature up-to-date information and images from this spectacular mission, as well as other updates on other current space missions.
