Welcome to the Junior Museum of the Newark Museum. Junior Museum programs have been designed with an eye towards the diverse communities of Newark and New Jersey by providing meaningful and personal connections with the world of art.

It is the mission of the Junior Museum to provide "a world of opportunity for young people" by making certain that the Museum is accessible to anyone who wishes to learn about its collections and participate in the creative process.

Our studio programs are exciting opportunities for children ages 3 through 13 to create their own masterpieces, explore the world of science, or receive a Girl Scout Merit Badge. All of our classes provide unique opportunities to learn through hands-on studio activities and by interactive viewing with their instructor of artworks in the Museum's permanent collection and in selected special exhibitions.

So, whatever your child is passionate about, let the Junior Museum be your partner as your child explores their creative self, expands their mind, and above all, has fun while learning something new!
